.. to those who value truth; Fletcher's opinions have to be taken seriously because of his close proximity to the actual day to day goings on in the Pentagon. If Col. Prouty says that 'Report from Iron Mountain' is fiction based on reality, IMHO it is not hard to accept this was the case. It all adds up; Clearly the motivation of the Military and Industry establishment at the time of Lewin's snap shot of history was the perpetuation of the cold war and global uncertainty in order to maintain power and profit.

It is very annoying the lengths to which Mcadams and other fringe crackpots go to in defaming Col. Prouty with unsubstantiated character attacks, misquotes, innuendo, and outright lies.

God Save the Truth.. (and thanks for this web site)

Len,

I've got the tape of that interview and I've listened to it. I've also listened to the short clip of the tape that you have on your web page. In that clip and on the tape, the topic of The Report from Iron Mountain is discussed. Half way through side B of the tape and 7 minutes and 30 seconds into your 15 minute clip, Fletcher clearly states that in 1972 the author stated that the book was fiction.

BUT, Fletcher adds that the information inside the book brings up points and topics that really were being thought about within the military establishment during the time frame that the book was set in. In this interview, Fletcher emphasizes that the controversial points and topics that drew the book into the limelight were actual points and topics that people in the power positions of the Pentagon were concerned with during the early 1960's. A lot of the confusion about whether or not the book was fiction stem from the fact that the topics discussed were so critical to the military establishment and leadership.

I found no indication in the interview that Col. Fletcher Prouty considered the book, "The Report form Iron Mountain", to be non-fiction.

He clearly states in the interview, that the author himself called the book a work of fiction. However, he does claim that the hot topics in the book were very important to the military leadership of the time and many of the issues were actually being discussed by members of the military during the time that he worked in the pentagon. If Fletcher says that many of the topics in the book are based in reality, and he was in the pentagon during those years, I don't see how anyone can refute his position. Fletcher never once said that a meeting took place inside Ironmountain, just that the topics discussed in the book were being discussed by members of the military. I wasn't there and no one else, as far as I know, from this news group, was there. But, as I said in a post of mine from a while back, I think the best thing for people to do is just listen to what he has to say.

All of my friends, who I have shown his material to, are impressed with the content. Fletcher comes across as an honest, intelligent, intellectual, individual who is interested in the truth and blowing away the smoke and mirrors that power structures use to hide the way that they maintain and modify the current social order. He presents all of his information in a logical, rational manner that leaves little room for doubting his facts and viewpoints. I respect the fact that when Fletcher is asked a question outside his scope of knowledge, he clearly states that he doesn't have the answers. I've never heard him try to B.S. his way through any topic; he clearly states what he knows for a fact and what is speculation. He sticks to what he knows and, to me, this increases his credibility.

Sal

To Len Osanic,
I too agree that Col. Prouty is 100% correct in his assessment of the work by Leonard Lewin. Thank you for providing his interview on line.

Hello Mr. Osanic

One thing that bothered me about the McAdams website, was the Furhmann review of Col. Prouty's book. He went through the JFK book, chapter by chapter, line by line, and went to great lengths to discredit almost every word.

I began to wonder just who, if they didn't like a book, would take the time to write on and on in this detail. Unless they were paid to.

I guess its no accident that there are no references to check up on who this Fuhrmann is.

Now thanks to this eye opening page it is quite clear McAdams has an agenda. That is to continue the cover-up of the truth, and use character assassination on Col. Prouty and Jim Garrison and others who stand for the truth.

After all anyone who shows up at assassination forum and uses an assumed name has to be operating on assignment.

Thanks for pointing these facts about John McAdams and his dis-info site.

Thank you for this site

Richard Nelson
