  • Nearly everything that HARVEY Oswald and LEE Oswald did on 11/22/63 was pre-planned
  • Bill Shelley was Oswald's supervisor at the Book Depository
  • In 1963 Capt. Westbrook was in charge of the Personnel Dept. for the Dallas police
  • Westbrook had nothing to do with Capt. Will Fritz's homicide and robbery division
  • Yet following the shooting of President Kennedy Westbrook was everywhere
  • He was the first police officer to arrive at the Texas Theater
  • HARVEY Oswald rode to the Book Depository with Wesley Frazier
  • Frazier's sister, Linnie Mae Randle, told the WC that Oswald was wearing a grey jacket with big sleeves
  • CE 163 (the jacket)
  • Westbrook's whereabouts from the time he was last seen at the police station (circa 12:35 pm)
    to his arrival at the book depository are unknown
  • Westbrook told the WC that he walked one mile to the Texas Book Depository Building--a 22 minute walk
  • Reserve officer Sgt. Croy told the WC that when President Kennedy was shot, at 12:30 PM,
    he was “sitting in his car at the city hall”—police headquarters
  • According to Croy, he and his estranged wife had gone to lunch together at Austin's Barbecue
  • John Armstrong believes that Croy met with Capt. Westbrook and rode in Westbrook’s dark blue,
    unmarked police car, driving to the Book Depository
  • HARVEY Oswald boarded the Marsalis bus and then decided to get off the bus (around 12:44 PM)
  • Two police officers boarded the bus and searched passengers for weapons, around 12:47 to 12:50 PM
  • Why would police board a bus on Elm St. that was headed toward the Book Depository?
  • This was not discussed nor investigated by the Warren Commission nor by the FBI nor the Dallas Police
  • Police car 207
  • Police officer at the Tippit scene before the ambulance arrived
  • The "discovery" of Oswald's jacket
  • Westbrook was the in charge of personnel dept.
  • Yet he did not remember the name of a single police officer with whom he came in contact that afternoon
  • The second wallet found at the Tippit scene
  • The second wallet was not entered into evidence
  • The only items from this wallet that survived were the two identification cards with the name “Hidell”
  • Two identification cards obtained from the second wallet showed Oswald and Hidell were the same person
  • FBI agent James Hosty published his book Assignment Oswald in March 1996
  • For the first time, JFK researchers learnt about the second wallet which Hosty described in his book
  • Researchers were desperate to interview Westbrook after learning about the second wallet
  • But Westbrook died of cancer only a few weeks before the book was released !!!
  • Following the shooting of HARVEY Oswald by Jack Ruby, Dallas Police Chief Jesse Curry
    assembled a special squad of detectives to investigate the murder of Oswald
  • The senior police officer in charge of this "special squad" was none other than Capt. Westbrook
  • Westbrook went on to work with the CIA
  • Westbrook relocated to South Vietnam where he was a CIA-sponsored advisor to the Saigon Police Dept

  • Larry Crafard - The Leads the Warren Commission Lost Part 1 & 2 at Kennedys & King
  • Larry sparked John's interest as it seems he was sort of pushed out of the Warren Commission.
  • Crafard testified before the Warren Commission over the course of three days. Leads were not followed up on.
  • People feel Crafard has some similarities with Oswald. Was he an Oswald imposter?
  • Crafard was tracked down to his sister's in Michigan after JFK and Lee were murdered.
  • Robert Kermit Patterson went to Naval Intelligence in Dallas
  • He reported that he'd seen Oswald in his club but it was Crafard.
  • Waitress Mary Lawrence said she saw Ruby and Crafard together at the B&B Cafe the morning of the assassination.
  • Gloria Fillman confirmed that she went to the B&B Restaurant with Crafard and Ruby.
  • Washburn sat down and plotted out Crafard's timeline after Crafard left Dallas.
  • Earl Ruby described getting a telephone call telling him that Oswald had been shot.
  • When the FBI visited the Carousel Club, Andy Armstrong supplied the FBI with Crafard's mail and notebook.
  • John felt that the FBI was very efficient in trying to find information on Crafard. They did not want to probe Ruby.
  • The American public had to be convinced that the government, police and Warren Commission had things under control.
  • The aim of the Warren Commission was to determine that Oswald was the lone shooter.
  • Crafard's FBI testimony on Thanksgiving Day to the FBI was pretty thorough. Crafard's alibi for 11/22/63 is questionable.
  • Crafard stated in 1st interview that Armstrong had woken him up at the Carousel Club.
  • Incredibly, Crafard undermines his testimony from 1st statement, changed times he had interacted with Armstrong.
  • Armstrong didn't give Crafard an alibi until January of 1964.
  • This alibi didn't match Crafard's testimony.
  • Was Crafard on a bus, headed out of Dealey Plaza, in order to confuse people?
  • Ruby was at the Dallas Morning News at the time of JFK's assassination.
  • Ruby could see Dealey Plaza from the office window.
  • Detective Jim Leavelle arrived at the Tippit murder scene approximately about 1:30 PM.
  • Did Leavelle deal with the 2nd wallet?
  • After Dan Rather saw the Zapruder film, he tried to mislead the public, lying and stating Jack's head shot forward.
  • Was Mary Bledsoe on the bus with Oswald?
  • Did Oswald and a blonde woman get off Mary's bus? Did police board the bus?
  • Was Crafard taken off Mary Beldsoe's bus to help take care of Office Tippit? Was he at the scene when Tippit was shot?
  • Warren Commission's Leon Hubert and Burt Griffin did not feel that Crafard was a shooter.
  • Officer Kenneth Croy arrived on the Tippit scene at the same time as Officer Hill.
  • Bill DeMar testified that he felt he saw Lee Harvey Oswald in the Carousel Club.
  • Could it have been Larry Crafard that he saw?
  • Dan Rather's testimony actually destroys the "Magic Bullet Theory".
  • Did Ruby think there was a plot to murder John Connelly?
  • Was he surprised when he found out JFK had been murdered instead?
  • The Warren Commission requested a search on Crafard's social security number to see where he had been employed.
  • A Carousel Club stripper said that Crafard had a police badge and was impersonating being a police officer.

  • Leavelle stated he didn't realize there was a connection between JFK’s murder and Tippit's murder.

  • Len inquires how John got interested into the MLK assassination and the set up of James Earl Ray.
  • John lives in Alamo, Tennessee, about 75 miles northeast of Memphis.
  • John was a senior in high school in the spring of 1968 when Martin Luther King was assassinated.
  • After high school, John attended Memphis State University, obtaining his master's degree while living in Memphis.
  • From the start, John had inside information about the situation with James Earl Ray.
  • Harry S. Avery, John's maternal Great Uncle was Commissioner of Corrections at the time in 1969.
  • Prior to this, Mr. Avery had been a government arson investigator for years, started an independent MLK investigation.
  • Mr. Avery had worked with the prosecution on the Jimmy Hoffa Chattanooga jury tampering case.
  • John's curious and inquisitive uncle, Harry Smith Avery died December 18, 1989 at Dandridge, Tennessee.
  • Before Harry died, John had several talks about Harry's investigation into James Earl Ray.
  • Harry was fired by Governor Buford Ellington after two months of his investigating.
  • James entered Brushy Mountain Correction Complex on March 21, 1970.
  • As a reporter for the Oakridger, a daily paper, John was able to interview James Earl Ray
  • Twice in person at Brushy Mountain.
  • You wouldn't hire James Earl Ray to wash your car, he would mess something up. James was not a mastermind.
  • When met Ray, James had already been in prison for 12 years or so, becoming well read with his excess time in prison.
  • Even with all of the reading James had done while in prison, John could still tell he wasn't highly intelligent.
  • Len and John discuss the catalyst that inspired John to start an independent investigation into MLK's murder.
  • John's uncle had overheard a phone conversation while at the Govenor's office, when James Earl Ray was being discussed.
  • This conversation was heard BEFORE James Earl Ray had the opportunity to go to court and make the guilty plea.
  • The person in the office was reassuring the person on the phone that James was going to plead guilty, with no trial.
  • Who was the person on the other end of the phone? The Attorney General? It was definitely a person of authority.
  • While attending to his laundry one day, an interview with Gerald Posner was aired, filled with disinfo, infuriating John.
  • Len created "50 Reasons For 50 Years" video series for the 50th anniversary of JFK's assassination for the same reason.
  • Since the early 90's, John knew that it was in his future to write a book regarding what he knew about MLK's murder.
  • The first time John met James at Brushy Mountain in the early 90's, it was a contact visit, where they shook hands.
  • It appeared as if there wasn't a serious amount of observation to their meeting by security, communication was easy.
  • James Earl Ray gave John 2 cassette tapes, that James had had in his jail cell for the past 12 years in his cell.
  • These recordings were of John's uncle, Harry Smith Avery! Avery had been interviewed by Ray's wife!
  • In the recordings, Avery talks about suspicious letters that came in to Ray, including one with a McGill University letterhead!
  • It was clear to John that the assassination was being orchestrated by military intelligence. McGill = MKUltra
  • Ray identified the person who directed him and gave him money.
  • The government denies the existence of Ray having a handler.
  • Who was Raoul? What is Raoul's true identity? Clearly both the Canadian and American governments know.
  • Len and John agree that if you look at any one aspect of this case, it falls apart!

  • Mr. X (Donald Sutherland) in the movie JFK by Oliver Stone was based off of the military career of Col. L. Fletcher Prouty.
  • Prouty's military career started before Pearl Harbour, where he was assigned as a Horse Cavalryman.
  • After horses were replaced with tanks in 1941, Prouty joined the Tank Corps under General Creighton Abrams.
  • Abrams went on to be the Senior Military officer in Vietnam during the Vietnam War from 1968-1972.
  • Already a licensed pilot in the Tank Corp, the Air Force recruited Prouty; he transferred quickly to flight school in Africa.
  • Prouty served in the Africa Middle East wing of the Air Transport Command.
  • Prouty being sent to the Cairo Conference in 1943 was the start of Prouty's career with clandestine operations.
  • The Cairo Conference was attended by Churchill, Roosevelt & Chiang Kai-Shek from China.
  • From there, Prouty was sent directly to the Tehran Conference between Churchill, Roosevelt & Stalin met for the 1st time.
  • Why haven't historians been told that Chiang Kai-Shek was ALSO at the Tehran Conference?
  • Prouty knows Chiang Kai-Shek attended the Tehran Conference because he was the pilot that flew him there.
  • A friend of Prouty's was the pilot who flew Elliot Roosevelt to the same Tehran Conference in 1943.
  • After the conferences Prouty was sent to Pacific, flying heavy transport, mostly patients to the hospital, until the war ended.
  • The unit Prouty was flying in was asked to fly immediately into Japan once the war was over in August 1945.
  • The only air base that the US hadn't bombed in anticipation of invading was the major underground Japanese base at Atsugi.
  • The CIA utilized the Atsugi base, where men like Lee Harvey Oswald were later stationed.
  • When Prouty flew back to Okinawa he noticed a huge stockpile of military equipment being loaded onto US ships.
  • The Harbour Master told Prouty the equipment was being sent to Vietnam and Korea.
  • Who had given the orders for the relocation of the military equipment? How early were plans made to invade Vietnam?
  • Prouty was ordered by the Army to report to Yale University to help start a new aviation program.
  • Prouty taught at Yale for three years before being sent to NY to write a text book on Aeronautics for the US Army.
  • After publishing the first text book, Prouty was asked to write another book on rockets and missiles.
  • Given full authority by the government to go anywhere, and interview anyone, Prouty interviewed Werner Von Braun.
  • Von Braun explained to Prouty in 1949 how he would land a rocket on the moon.
  • After helping to set up the NORAD operation in Colorado Springs, after a year Prouty was sent to Tokyo.
  • While the US was an occupation force in Japan, the US military ran the country while Japan was rebuilt.
  • Tokyo had been completely devastated. Prouty was installed as the airport manager for the International Tokyo Airport.
  • Prouty had never seen anywhere as destroyed as Tokyo was by the end of the war.
  • In the Korean war period, after the airport was given back to the Japanese, Prouty helped fly supplies to Lansdale.
  • In 1952-1953 CIA's Edward G. Lansdale built up a covert army in the Philippines under the leadership of Ramon Magsaysay.
  • President Quirino had been the leader of the Philippine government before Magsaysay was installed in 1953.
  • In 1955 Prouty was sent back to US to attend the Armed Forces Staff College run by the Joints Chiefs of Staff.
  • Prouty was then brought into the Pentagon.
  • In 1955 under Eisenhower, CIA would get assistance and funds from military conduits to support their covert operations.
  • In order to enable this plan, an office and system had to be created to handle this global operation.
  • As Chief of Special Operations for the Air Force, Prouty was given the task of heading and creating the office and system.
  • Lansdale was also in the Pentagon at this time, developing programs which later turned into the Special Forces.
  • With the election of Kennedy, Macnamara disbanded this office and replaced part of it with the new DIA program.
  • McNamara requested Prouty to set up an office at the Joints Chief of Staff to handle all logistics of CIA covert ops.
  • This corresponded with the JFK administration, with Prouty retaining this position until JFK's death, retiring in 1964.

  • There was a war of succession in 1963 in Yemen that Nasser got involved in.
  • Followers of Nasser in Yemen faced off with the royalist family. Saudi Arabia backed the royalist family to weaken Nasser.

  • Israel tried twice to destabilize Nasser, in 1954 with the Lavon Affair & in 1956 with the Suez crisis.

  • Oil profits were funnelled to Britain and the United States after the coup, Iran has never been the same since the takeover.

  • Guatemalan President was thrown out mainly by the Dulles brothers, major shareholders in the United Fruit Company.
  • United Fruit Company owned over 80% of the land in Guatemala, who was dependent on the CIA.
  • After Guatemalan President, Elfego H. Monzon was removed from power, a genocide followed, over the next 20 years.
  • The year before, the CIA had eliminated Congo President, Patrice Lumumba.on January 17, 1961.
  • Patrice Lumumba wanted to have a fair democracy for the poor people of the Congo. He wanted the best for his people.
  • During these events, John Kennedy was inaugurated as President on January 20th, 1961.

  • When Oswald was released from the Marines it was from a "hardship discharge", using Marguerite's injuries as an excuse.
  • Typically it takes a few months for the marines to investigate hardship claims but Lee's was approved with in just 11 days.
  • When Lee left the Marines, it was 9 months earlier than when he was scheduled to be released.
  • Rosaleen Quinn who dated Oswald while he was in California recalled Lee was more fluent in Russian than she was.

  • What wasn't released in the HSCA volumes, was to be classified until 2029. Oliver Stone's "JFK" changed all of that.

  • The Nix family has tried to buy back the Nix film from the Sixth Floor Museum. Offers were rejected.

  • The petition against the Sixth Floor Museum is 70 pages long! The Nix family has smartly requested a trial by jury.

  • Overloaded with film & photographic evidence, Garrison hired Steve as a forensic investigator in charge of this material.
  • Steve feels the biggest discovery from this photographic & video evidence is the Zapruder film!
  • Garrison sent Steve to the National Archives to view the unedited version of the Zapruder film. It was shockingly clear.
  • Steve was also communicating with a liason with French Intelligence SDECE & was sent to Paris in June of 1968.
  • French Intelligence gave Steve a copy of their near perfect copy of the Zapruder film. Film was disguised for trip to USA.
  • Steve made copies to anyone who wanted one, he sent many films to JFK assassination researchers.
  • JFK couldn't have been shot from the front & the back, by anyone shooting from the 6th floor of the TSBD building.
  • Len believes this week there will be a release of the assassination of Robert Kennedy at the Ambassador Hotel.

  • Despite the logical failure of such a committee, Lee opens up a public chapter of the FPCC in New Orleans.
  • Creation of such a committee in NO could have caused Castro issues regarding trade and the supply chain to Latin America.
  • The FPCC Committee membership went from 7000 at it's peak in 1961 to 1500 by the time Oswald started his chapter.
  • The national amount of FPCC meetings dwindled from 25 meetings a year to 3 or 4 meetings a year.
  • The FPCC was having financial difficulties, with sponsorship being pulled. FPFC to be alive on paper only at this point.
  • Richard Case Nagel purposely arrested before the assassination so he couldn't be held responsible in JFK's murder.
  • In 1962, someone called "Pepe Menendez", head of FPCC in Tampa was sending letters about a JFK assassination plot.
  • Menendez : Ex head of FPCC... who had moved to Cuba
  • Paul recently found a debriefing document in the latest document release regarding FBI informant Thomas Vecente.
  • Victor Thomas Vecenti was the man, and FBI informant, who sent LHO all of his FPCC literature.
  • Vincent T. Lee who headed the FPCC took over when other members abandoned the FPFC committee.
  • Lee opened the chapter even though Vincent had requested Lee not open a new chapter of the FPCC in New Orleans.
  • There hasn't been many JFK assassination research books released that have been translated into French.

  • Dean was in charge of the security for Dallas City Hall basement in preparation of Oswald's transfer.
  • Why did the DPD & the Warren Commission protect Sgt. Patrick Dean?
  • Dean was the one who assigned two reserve officers at the entrance way that Ruby utilized.
  • How did Dean indirectly remove these two reserve officers from the basement?
  • Ruby's business partner, Bertha Cheek, was sister in law to Oswald's landlord at the rooming house.
  • Why did Jack Ruby kill Oswald?
  • Griffin & Hubert recommended that Oswald's murder should have it's own chapter in the WC Report.
  • Railroading Griffin & Hubert's investigation basically ended the probe into Ruby & Oswald's relationship.
  • Dean gave another statement to the Warren Commission, but in D.C., where was he was basically apologized to.
  • In the middle of June or July of 1964, Dean personally asked to have a polygraph test.
  • Unbelievably, even with Dean writing his own questions, he failed his own polygraph test!

  • Larry wrote a letter to the White House Council, informing the council of the larger JFK files.

  • When the ARRB was shut down due to lack of Congress funding, several searches were underway.

  • Jeremiah Jost, Edward Cornell, Vincent Gircys, & Harold Ristau filed a civil lawsuit against the gov.
  • The finding by the lower level court by Justice Mosley found the government acted unconstitutionally.
  • There are legal requirements built into the Emergencies Act are to ensure it doesn't get abused.
  • None of the required four thresholds of the Emergencies Act were met.
  • The RCMP did not request for the Emergencies Act to be enacted. There wasn't a real threat.
  • The Canadian Security & Intelligence Service did not feel there was a threat.
  • The protests were peaceful, family friendly & nonviolent. Children & bouncy castles are not a threat.
  • In Canada, Canadians have the right to have peaceful assembly.
  • Within minutes of Justice Richard Mosley's decision was immediately appealed by Trudeau's lawyers.

  • CIA had quite an air force, operated and maintained under "Air America"
  • New Year's Eve of 1958-59, I waited for CIA orders to go into Cuba
  • Senator Kennedy understood events going on in Vietnam and Laos and in Cuba
  • President Kennedy was briefed, 3,000 instead of 300 and an invasion was planned
  • The first objective for the program: they must destroy the aircraft
  • Three B-26 bombers destroyed all but three of Castro's combat-capable aircraft
  • McGeorge Bundy reversed the President's decision and said, "no air strike tomorrow."
  • We didn't need air cover, those Cuban jets were supposed to be rubble by sunrise
  • We had to cover Vietnam with helicopter maintenance people
  • A great number of those were cover military; they were involved with the CIA
  • By the summer of '63 Kennedy had made up his mind to get out of Vietnam
